The original blurb below is now about six years out of date. I’ve left it there for posterity, but this is the current version as of 18th June 2026.
Well, after nearly another seven years, I’ve finally decided to update the About Me page again.
Is there much to say? Still not a lot, really.
I’m now 56, still married to A (20 years this coming August), and we still have two children, though they’ve grown a bit since last time. T is now 13 and E is 11. Our Labrador, L, sadly passed away in 2021, but we now have W, who’s approaching 3 and is, as expected for a young Labrador, completely bonkers (think the proverbial box of frogs).
If you’ve spotted the header image: yes, T and L appear a bit oddly. It’s not edited or photoshopped in anyway, it’s actually the result of a panoramic photo glitch that somehow produced two T’s and one L. I’ve kept it because I like it, it reminds me of the day I took it. We’d walked about two miles out from the coast at Heacham, Norfolk, when The Wash was at low tide.
The site itself has had a bit of a reshuffle too, with new menus and posts moved around. More notably, I’m gradually steering things in a more physics-focused direction. That’s partly inspired by the passing of my father a couple of years ago (at the grand age of 92), and inheriting his library and writings. He knew far more about these things than I ever did, but after a lot of reading and learning, I’m rapidly closing that gap.
Old About Me:
Well, after seven years, I’ve finally decided to update the About Me page.
What is there to say? Well, not a lot really. I’m nearly 50 and married to A, we have two children, a boy, T, who is 6 and a girl, E, who is nearly 4 as I write this, along with our Labrador L, who is nearly 12.
T and L appear in the header picture, a glitch when taking a panoramic shot which resulted in two T’s and one L.
It’s a great picture, really fabulous
